Seahorse

The goal of the Seahorse class is to get children to be comfortable in the pool and help them discover a love for being in the water. This class teaches kids to find their balance in the water through front and back floating, the two most important foundational skills any new swimmer can learn! Swimmers in this level will also learn how to kick and move through the water on their front and back!

Your child will be taught:

  • Safe pool entry/exit
  • Submersion and breath control
  • Front and back floating
  • Safety floats
  • Basic Front and Back Kicking Skills
  • Safe”R” Me: Step 1

No swim evaluation is required to enroll in this class. The Seahorse class is for children with little or no experience in formal swim lessons. Swimmers who are not able to comfortably float on their front and back, unassisted, for at least 5 seconds and who cannot also swim independently on their front (with their face in the water) and back for at least 15 feet will be in the Seahorse class level.

This is a 30-minute class with a maximum student to teacher ratio of 3:1!
